A private ethnographic collection was founded in 2002 in Spilice, nine kilometres from the town of Ploče. It contains 400 exhibits dating from 50 to 300 years ago, mostly everyday objects for use in the house or in the field, which depict hard life in the karst landscape, but also the people’s resourcefulness and creativity with wool, wood, copper, stone and leather.
